What We Collect

When you use our savings calculator, a contact form or one of our landing pages, we collect what you enter:

• Your name and business name
• Your email address and phone number
• Your monthly processing volume and current rate (entered into the calculator), or the answers you pick on a landing page, such as your type of business and rough monthly card sales
• A question or message, if you write one
• Your optional pricing preference and limited visit context, such as which pricing-model pages you viewed, the page where you contacted us, and campaign tags in the link you followed
• A processing statement, if you choose to attach one

If you fill out one of our lead forms on Facebook or Instagram, Meta sends us what you entered there, such as your name, phone number, email address, business name and answers to the form’s questions. We handle it the same way as information sent through this site.

If you call or text us, we keep the number you contact us from and what you send, so we can reply.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use it to run and secure the site.

We do not ask for payment card numbers or social security numbers anywhere on this website, and no field on this site is for entering them.

If You Upload a Statement

Attaching a statement is optional. You can send your details without one and give us the statement later, or not at all — we will still respond.

A merchant processing statement names your business and your processing history, and depending on your processor it may also show a partial or full bank account number on the funding line. Please look at what you are sending before you attach it. If you would rather black out the funding details first, the review still works — we need the fee and volume lines, not your bank details.

• Uploads are received through our website host and retrieved by Crane Processing into a restricted company account. While the file is still with our host it sits at a long, randomly generated web address. We never publish that address, but it is not password protected — anyone who has the address can open the file. We move the file into our own account and delete the host-side copy as soon as we have it. Removal may not take effect straight away.
• We use your statement for one purpose: working out what you pay today and what we could offer instead.
• We do not sell it, use it for unrelated marketing, or pass it to another processor. If you decide to proceed, only the business details needed to open your account go to Elavon.
• We keep it while your review is open and while you are still in contact with us about it. Ask us to delete it at any point and we will, and confirm that we have.

How We Use It

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your inquiry and provide a free processing rate comparison
• Call or text you about your request
• Contact you about setting up a merchant account if you choose to proceed
• Send follow-up information you have requested
• Measure which pages, ads and campaigns bring people to us, as described under Cookies and Tracking
• Keep this site and our forms working and free of spam and abuse, and meet our legal obligations

We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing. We do run the Meta advertising pixel described below, which shares your activity on this site with Meta so we can measure our advertising. Under some state privacy laws that counts as “sharing” for targeted advertising, so we are telling you plainly rather than relying on the word “sell.”

Calls and Text Messages

We use the phone number you give us to call or text you about your request. Our landing-page forms say this next to the submit button. How often we text depends on the conversation, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text, or tell us any other way, and we will stop texting you. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. The phone and messaging service we use handles your number only to deliver our calls and texts.

Who We Share With

If you choose to move forward with a merchant account, your business information will be shared with Elavon, Inc. (a U.S. Bank company) as required to establish and manage your processing account. Elavon's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.

We also use service providers that handle information on our behalf, under our instructions, and not for their own marketing:

• Our website host, Netlify, which runs this site, receives form submissions and statement uploads, and hosts the system we use to keep track of inquiries
• Our email, phone and text-messaging providers, so we can communicate with you

Google and Meta receive information through the analytics and advertising tools described under Cookies and Tracking, and use it under their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

Cookies and Tracking

We use your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab, to remember limited pricing-interest context and small display settings, and on our landing pages to hold the ad click reference described below. The pricing-interest context is attached to a contact form only when you choose to submit one; it is not used to create a persistent cross-session browsing profile.

Meta pixel. This site loads the Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel, which sets Meta cookies (_fbp, and _fbc when you arrive from a Meta ad). It reports to Meta which pages you opened, when you completed the savings calculator, and when this site successfully accepted a form submission. On our landing pages it also reports when you finished the first step of the form, and when you tapped a “text us” link, with a short reference code that also appears in your text so we can match the two. For a submission, the event identifies the form used (for example, the statement-review/contact form or the quick-question form) and, on landing pages, whether a statement was attached. Our event code does not send Meta the form’s contents, your calculator amounts, or an uploaded statement. When you submit a landing-page form, we also keep Meta’s click reference from the ad link and Meta’s cookie values with your submission, so we can tell which ad led to an inquiry. We use all of this to measure whether our advertising is working and to reach people who have already visited. Meta also receives the browser and device information normally associated with a pixel request, and Meta governs its own use of that information under its privacy policy.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and referral campaigns bring visitors to this site and which visits lead to calculator completions, form starts, accepted submissions, or phone and text link clicks. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga, and _ga_ followed by an ID) and receives your IP address and browser and device information. Our analytics events do not include your form answers, phone number, calculator amounts, message text, or statement files. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled for this measurement. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services (opens in a new tab).

Google Fonts. Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those files from Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address and browser information. Google Fonts does not set cookies.

Turning it off. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this site does not load the Meta pixel or Google Analytics and does not keep Meta click references. Google Analytics also stays off when your browser sends Do Not Track, or when you use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab). Your browser’s tracking protection and Meta’s ad preferences give you further control. Blocking analytics or advertising tools does not prevent you from using our forms or calculator.

Your Choices and Rights

• Access, correction and deletion. Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will respond within 30 days.
• Calls and texts. Reply STOP to any text, or tell us any way you like, and we will stop contacting you that way.
• Analytics and advertising. Use Global Privacy Control or the other options under Cookies and Tracking.

Some states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and Virginia, give residents specific privacy rights, such as the rights to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. We honor these requests from anyone, wherever you live, and we will not treat you differently for making one. We may need to confirm that a request comes from you, for example by contacting you at the phone number or email address we have for you. You can make a request through an authorized agent, and if we turn down a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our answer.

Keeping Your Information

We keep inquiry details while we are talking with you about your account, and afterwards for as long as we need them for our records, to resolve disputes and to meet legal obligations. How long we keep a statement is described above. If you become a merchant, Elavon’s own policies apply to the account records it holds.

We keep information in access-restricted accounts and limit it to the people who need it. No website or storage system is perfectly secure, so please send only what we ask for.

This site is for businesses. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
