Choosing a connection for a market stall

WiFi only. Only worth it indoors, in a hall or market with a network you can count on.
WiFi + 4G LTE. A $20/mo data line, and the default for outdoor and travelling booths.
Your phone’s own data. The app runs on the signal you already pay for. No terminal to carry.
Full-day battery. No outlet at the stall, so the terminal has to last the whole market.

Vendor and market questions

Does the terminal work without WiFi at an outdoor market?

Yes, with a cellular data line. The Move 5000 runs on 4G LTE and has a full-day battery, so it doesn’t need an outlet or venue WiFi.

Can I take cards on my phone at a booth?

Yes. With the Elavon Mobile app, Tap to Pay on a recent iPhone takes a contactless card or wallet with no reader. On other phones, you pair the Link/2500 reader over Bluetooth.

Can two people take payments at the same booth?

Yes. The Link/2500 Mobile Reader pairs to a phone over Bluetooth and suits a second seller at the same booth. You can rent or buy it, priced on your quote.

How soon do I get paid for weekend sales?

Next-day funding is available on approved accounts. We confirm your batch cutoff and funding timing, including how weekends and bank holidays are handled.

New to selling at markets, or switching processors?

Tell us where you set up and how busy the booth gets. Card-present processing starts at 2.19% + 9¢, and higher-volume businesses can qualify for a lower rate. We prepare the application with you, and signing it is your call once you’ve read it through.
