Retail processing questions

Can I get a register with a barcode scanner and inventory?

Yes. Elavon POS (talech) is a complete register with a tablet, receipt printer, barcode scanner, cash drawer, and inventory software. It’s quoted to your setup.

Can I keep the POS system I already use?

It depends on the system. Many POS platforms work with our terminals, and others are tied to a specific processor. We tell you upfront whether yours is compatible before anything changes.

Can customers pay with tap, Apple Pay, or PIN debit?

Yes. The Desk 3500 and Desk 5000 take tap, chip, swipe, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, and PIN debit is supported on compatible equipment. We confirm the payment methods for your setup.

Should I rent or buy a card terminal?

Either works. Rental and purchase prices for both terminals are listed above, and a full POS is quoted to your setup. If a rented terminal breaks, we replace it as part of the rental.

Opening a new store or switching processors?

Tell us what you sell and how you ring it up. Card-present processing starts at 2.19% + 9¢, and higher-volume businesses can qualify for a lower rate. We fill out the application with you, and nothing is final until you review and sign it.
